BIOMAP History

Every four years the International Workshop on Biomonitoring of Atmospheric Pollution occurs throughout countries in all over the world. Portugal has the pleasure to be the host country of this important international workshop for the third time, in 2015.

Following is a short historic about all the previous BIOMAPs:

1997- 1st International Workshop on Biomonitoring of Atmospheric Pollution, Lisbon, Portugal.

2000 - 2nd International Workshop on Biomonitoring of Atmospheric Pollution, Praia da Vitoria, Azores Islands, Portugal.

2003 - 3rd International Workshop on Biomonitoring of Atmospheric Pollution, Bled, Slovenia.

2006 - 4th International Workshop on Biomonitoring of Atmospheric Polllution, Agios Nikolaos, Greece.

2009 - 5th International Workshop on Biomonitoring of Atmospheric Pollution, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

2012 - 6th International Workshop on Biomonitoring of Atmospheric Pollution, Çesme, Turkey.

In the future:

2015 - 7th International Workshop on Biomonitoring of Atmospheric Pollution, Lisbon, Portugal.
